What Faculty are Saying About the Faculty Success Program
"The program also helped me adopt best practices and habits into my daily life in a multi-faceted, tangible way that impacted every area of my life."

"As someone who is interested in productivity broadly, I came into the Faculty Success Program expecting a redundant overview of things I already knew from books, podcasts, and other workshops. I was surprised to find that the FSP program not only had curated a novel curriculum of advances and knowledge in productivity and professional development, but the program also helped me adopt best practices and habits into my daily life in a multi-faceted, tangible way that impacted every area of my life. I am sincerely looking forward to participating in the FSP again as an alum."

Rebecca R. Hernandez, PhD
Assistant Professor
Dept. of Land, Air, and Water Resources
University of California, Davis

"Candidly, I was a naysayer... I have been completely won over. I only wish I had enrolled before I stepped one foot into the halls of the Academy."

"I have practiced law for over 20 years in both the public and private sectors. I started my career in the Academy 3 years ago. My experience as a woman color in the professional world has been uniform in this regard: People of color rarely, if ever, receive the mentoring that our majority counterparts enjoy. Mentoring and a sense of community are dispositive factors in ensuring success in any professional career, particularly the Academy. This program filled in that vast chasm for me. It was a life-saving buoy in the sea where I was drowning. The Faculty Success Program not only gave me the language to name, and thereby understand my anxiety, but it also gave me the tools to take command of both my anxiety as well as my ability to be productive. Candidly, I was a naysayer, disinclined toward Hallmark greeting cards and the trivial, which is why it took me 3 years to enroll. I have been completely won over. I only wish I had enrolled before I stepped one foot into the halls of the Academy. I only wish my students had the opportunity to take this bootcamp as well."

Assistant Professor

Wayne State University
